Privacy policy

What data Friolink (web app, Android, iPhone and iPad apps, screens and gateways) uses, why, where it is stored and how to exercise your rights.

Effective October 25, 2026

Who is responsible

Friolink is a service of areainfo (Montevideo, Uruguay). For any question about your data write to [email protected].

What data we use

Your account: name, username, email and, if you add them, phone and Telegram user for alerts.

Your company's devices: temperature, humidity, doors, power, battery, connection status and device location if you entered it.

Account security: date, approximate IP and device type of each sign-in, and open sessions.

Push notifications: a notification identifier of your phone (Firebase Cloud Messaging token).

Why we use it

Only to provide the service: show your devices, alert you when something goes out of range, create reports and protect your account.

We don't sell data, show ads or track you across other apps or websites.

Where it is stored and who receives it

Data is stored on our own servers in Uruguay, with encrypted backups.

We use providers only to run the service: Google Firebase to deliver phone notifications, Cloudflare for networking and protection, and an email provider for email alerts.

On your phone, the session is kept in the system keychain (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

Retention

Device readings are kept for 2 years and alarms for 7 years for cold-chain traceability (e.g. HACCP). Account data is kept while the account is active.

Your rights and account deletion

You can request access, correction or deletion of your data under Uruguay's Law 18,331 by writing to [email protected].

You can delete your account from the app (More → Profile → Delete my account) or by email.

Children and changes

Friolink is a business service and is not directed to children. Changes are published on this page with their date.
